INFORMATION ON DESTIONATION SLUNJ-RASTOKE

Rastoke is an area in Slunj with a specific location. The river Slunjčica cascades over a number of travertine barriers and waterfalls and finally flows into the river Korana in Rastoke. Mills were built on the mouth and waterfalls of the river, which today serve as residential buildings or restaurants and cafes. Public infrastructure (the circular promenade) in Rastoke can be used every day, all year round.
All houses and estates in Rastoke are private property.
Estates, mills, eating establishments and stores such as gift shops, which are open for visitors, do not have set working hours so it is advised to call in advance to learn about the specific working hours.
Some houses in Rastoke are not open for visitors because they are private property and it is necessary to respect the privacy of the owners.

A fishing license can be bought in a store called Šmek (at the address Rastoke 22, Slunj) and in a pub called Gajba (at the address 14. Domobranske pukovnije 1, Slunj). 

During the summer months, the river Korana is suitable for swimming. There is a town beach with dressing rooms, sanitary facilities and eating establishment below the Tonković bridge, on the river Korana.
The river Mrežnica is also suitable for swimming during the summer months. There are no official beaches on the river Mrežnica.

Parking is charged from May to November every day from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

  • M1 passenger vehicles of 8+1 capacity whose length exceeds 5m – €10
  • Medium-sized bus with 9 to 30 seats – €20
  • Coach with over 30 seats – €50
