Notice for Visitors

The city of Slunj with their partners TZ Slunj and JU natura viva is implementing the project ˝Slunj watery secrets˝ co – financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund Under the Operational Programme ˝Competitiveness and Cohesion˝ 2014. – 2020.˝

Project ˝Slunj´s watery secrets is an investment in the significant Slunjčica landscape with the goal to provide a better management of the visitors and improving the knowledge of all participants to ensure sustainable use of natural heritage.

During the project implementation, the following construction works are planned:
– building an info center thar include interactive guides with galleries and wayfinder, hologram projections, virtual walks etc.
– construction of a new walking trail and a bridge over the River Korana in the lower part of Rastoke, which will provide a circular route in the area on public trails without entering the private estates.
– reconstruction of the Sv.Ivan bridge because of the frazzle state of the bridge and the visitor´s safety.

Because of the planned activities, routes for visitors will be redirected, according to this map.

The place of debarkation and embarkation of visitors on and off the buses will continue like usual on ENTRANCE 1 and 3. ENTRANCE 2 is exclusively for pedestrians and only for the duration of construction works on the Sv. Ivan bridge.

The reconstruction won’t interfere with Rastoke sightseeing. there will only be a temporary regulation of visitor movement during the reconstruction of the bridge.
